Account Manager – Commercial Janitorial Products and Services

My client is a commercial janitorial product and cleaning company, with head office in Sudbury, Ontario. 

 

They are currently seeking a full time account manager for the commercial janitorial services division.  Reporting to the General Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be based out of Sudbury, Ontario.  The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of clients in the janitorial products and commercial janitorial service industry to ensure client satisfaction.   The account manager ensures development of existing accounts through the promotion of products and services. 

 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction in the areas of products or services
  • Respond to and resolve customer complaints through face to face visits, emails and phone calls
  • prepare sales action plans and schedules
  • plan and conduct direct marketing activities
  • make sales calls to existing clients
  • develop and make presentations of company products and services to current clients
  • negotiate with clients
  • Visit existing clients according to marketing plan to develop scope of work and expand product line and/or services
  • present sales contracts
  • maintain sales activity records and reports
  • respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person
  • follow up on sales activity
  • conduct quality checks on product and service delivery
  • monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
  • monitor competitors, market conditions and product development

The potential candidate should posses the following qualifications: 

Education and Experience

  • College diploma, preferably in a business or marketing related field
  • knowledge of relevant computer applications
  • knowledge of principles and practices of sales
  • minimum 2 years in a sales related field
  • experience in making presentations an asset
  • proven ability to achieve sales targets
  • The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate his or her persuasiveness, superior verbal and written communication skills, show proven success in negotiating and be goal driven.  He/she will be a dynamic individual, be self motivated and work with little supervision. 

 

This is a full-time staff position based out Sudbury, Ontario.   The account manager works Monday-Friday.  They are required to possess a valid driver’s licence and use own vehicle.   Moderate travel is within Northern Ontario is required.  .  If you feel you possess the skills, qualifications and experience necessary to perform in this position, please submit your resume or forward questions in confidence to:
